SOUTHBRIDGE TALKIES

"FOLLOW THE FLEET."

For gay and fast-moving entertainment, "Follow the Fleet," which will be screened at the Southbridge Town Hall on Saturday evening next, measures up to the highest standard of musical comedies on the screen, [n it the combination of Fred Astaire and "Ginger" Rogers is again seen. The story, briefly, is that Astaire is cast as a sailor who has joined the navy after a disagreement with his dancing partner, Miss Rogers. During shore leave the two meet again, and Astaire's effrontery causes his erstwhile partner to lose her job. Full opportunity is therefore taken for witty repartee, for which Astaire is famous, and several dances are introduced in appropriate places. The opposite leads are played by Ginger Rogers and Harriett Hilliard as sisters.

During the first half, another of the famous "March of Time" series will be shown, one of the most interesting subjects dealt with being "Britannia Rules the Air," revealing the Empire's preparedness. The first of the football series, Springboks v. Auckland, will be of special interest to followers of Rugby.
