Mr and Mrs D. M. Mackay leave for Wellington by to-night's steamer to visit their sons. Miss E. McCarrol, of Wellsford, Invercargill, is visiting Mrs Nesbit, Leeston. Mrs M. H. Boyd returned to South- ! bridge at the week-end after a visit to Wellington. A visitor to the district for the Ellesmere Golf Club's tournament was Mr D. H. Fisher, a Hawarden business man, who stayed with his brother, Mr C. G. Fisher.-
After being home for only a fortnight, following an operation, Mrs R. J. Parkin, of Southbridge, had to return to hospital by ambulance this afternoon. Mrs Parkin has a large number of friends throughout the district who sympathise with her in her illness.
