POLLING DAY
ELECTIONS TO-MORROW.
No reminder will be necessary regarding to-morrow's election, but readers should remember that the polling hours are between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. Besides the election of a Parliamentary candidate, there will be the national licensing issue to be decided. The candidates for MidCanterbury are Messrs J. Carr, Nationalist; H. E. Herring, Labour; and W. H. Woods, Democrat. In Riccarton the candidates are: Mr H. S. S. Kyle, National; Mr G. T. Thurston, Labour; Mr J. E. Colechin, Independent; and Mr F. G. Dunn, Democrat.
The polling-places in the Ellesmere portion of the electorate are:— Presbyterian Schoolroom, Brookside; Town Hall, Doyleston; Town Hall, Dunsandel; Schools at Killinchy, Lakeside, Leeston; Sunday Schoolroom at Milltown; and the schools at Sedgemere and Southbridge.
The total number of candidates throughout the Dominion is 265, of which the Nationalists have 73, Labour 72, Democrats 51, and Independents 31.
