KILLINCHY

RIFLE CLUB'S BALL

Splendid support was accorded the annual ball of the Killinchy Miniature Rifle Club, with which the club officially concluded its 1935 season. The function took place in the Killinchy Hall last night, and notwithstanding other attractions, there was a large attendance which inoiuded many visitors from Southbridge, others from Springston, Sedgemere, and many places between those points. The club has every reason to feel gratified with the success of its ball, from both the financial and social viewpoints.

That consistently good dance combination, Mr Fred Smith's Orchestra, performed right up to its high reputation and nothing but highly favourable comments were heard from dancers and onlookers concerning the quality of the music and the time kept throughout. Assistance with extras was given by Misses Allen and R. Greenwood, while the duties of master of ceremonies were ably performed by Mr E. Millar. Prizes for a Monte Carlo dance went to Miss Harper and Mr D. McLenaghen.

A pleasant time was spent in the anteroom by a good company of card players, the most successful players being Mrs R. G. McClure and Mr M. Pohio. As usual, the catering of Messrs Free Bros, left nothing to be

desired

Before presenting the trophies won during the season, Mr J. E. Millar, president of the club, expressed pleasure at the excellent attendance and warmly thanked the donors of trophies and all who had helped the club in any way. Following is a list of the prize-winners:—
