WEDDING
EBERT HAMPTON.
_ The picturesque church of St. Matthew, St. Albans, was the setting for a quiet but very pretty wedding on Saturday afternoon, the contracting parties being Olive Muriel Alice, youngest daughter of the late Mr and Mrs Benjamin Hampton, of Southbridge, and Leslie Roy, second son of Mr and Mrs Louis Ebert, of New Brighton. The officiating minister was the Rev. J. F. Feron, B.A.
The bride was attired in an ankle length model frock of Burgundy elephant skin crepe, made on fitting lines with the bodice slightly pouched, and relieved with a contrasting bow at the high neck line. She wore a smart little hat and eye veil to match, with gloves, shoes and stockings to tone, and, carrying an ivory prayer book with satin streamers, was escorted by Mr John Stiven, who subsequently gave her away.
The bride was attended by Miss Marjorie Hintz as bridesmaid, whose frock was a replica of the bride's, carried out in nigger brown. She wore a model hat and eye veil and also carried an ivory prayer book. The bridegroom was attended by his brother, Mr George Ebert, as best man. Afterwards a reception was held in the Tudor tearooms, the usual toasts being honoured. When Mr and Mrs Ebert left by car the bride was travelling in an Air Force blue chevron coat with musquash fur.
