NEW COURT TO BE LAID

The first annual meeting of the Killinehy Tennis Club was held on Friday evening, Mr R. Bruce presided over a fair, attendance of members.

The secretary presented a report of the year's work, showing a membership of 61. The, balance-sheet showed a credfi/of £19/2/9^

Allen; secretary Miss MeLenaghen; hon. auditor; Mi Bruce; captain, Mr T. Nairn; * vice-captain, Mr 11. MeLenaghen; committee, Mrs Bruce, Miss B. MeLenaghen, Messrs Les. Allen, A. Allen and J. Children's hours were fixed at from 3.30 until 5.30 every day excepting Sat- j urdays, when they play up till noon, j It was decided to lay another asphalt court. Messrs Smart and Sons tender was £82/12/3 for the court and £10 for shovelling and carting the shingle. When the previous court was laid down a number of members put in a great deal ef labour, and it was decided that this time, the cost of the shingle should be defrayed by the balance of the members, thus putting all on the same footing. It was resolved to hold the official opening on Saturday next, September 29th.
