THE HARVEST.

The dry weather has had a bad effect on pastures, and if rain does not come

soon there is going to be a serious

shortage of autumn feed. Some farni%.ers are saying they are going to have trouble in finishing their lambs off. By the end of the week most of the wheat will be cut, and there is eveiy promise of some good yields. A couple of paddocks of peas have been threshed already, the yield, in proportion to the straw, being very disappointing.
