Mrs A. Thompson, of Springston, is undergoing treatment at the Christchurch Hospital. Mr R. K. Holmes, headmaster of the Springston School, has arranged to spend the Christmas vacation camping in the bush on the West Coast. Mrs D. G. Smith, of Ashburton, who is in Leeston for the wedding of her j niece, which takes place to-morrow, is I staying with her mother, Mrs D. Hur- | ford. I Friends of Miss Annie Marshall, of j Springston, will be sorry to hear that she has been obliged to enter a private hospital in Christehurch to undergo an operation. Mr J. Boag, of " Middlerigg," Brookside, left on Saturday for Invercargill to act as one of the Clydesdale judges at the Southland Show, which opened to-day and will be continued to-morrow. Mr and Mrs T. Dixon, of Ellesmere, intend to make their home at Cashmere, where Mr Dixon recently acquired a residential property. Mr S. Dallard, stationmaster at Springston, was unfortunate enough
