LINCOLN

PARISH CONCERT.

There was a large attendance at the concert held in the Lincoln Druids' Hall in aid o£^ the Lincoln Parish Magazine Fund, when a very interesting and enjoyable programme was presented. • /

- The overture was played by Mr Baker, of Lincoln College, this being a farewell performance. The district will greatly miss this talented player. Two fine terpsichorean items .were a ballet by Miss Hutchinson and a Dutch dance by Misses Hutchinson and Brenda Ross, Miss Grey playing the music. Miss Phyllis Thwaives rendered "Inky Bill," and gave as a return '* Wishing.' * The main item was a play by the South Springston Girls 3 Dramatic Club, which has been well trained by Mrs Newstead. The play, entitled "Mere Man," consisted of one act, the characters being as follows:— President of the Club, a widow, Miss N... Ryan; members of the Club, Misses Quayle (2), M. Cook, M: Hughes, J. Wright, G. Rowell, P. Meßean and R. Kimber. Miss Meßean played the accompaniments to the songs incorporated in the play. Supper was served, followed by a dance.
