TENNIS DANCE,
On Saturday evening a very successful flannel dance in aid of the tennis courts was held in the Druids' Hall. The hall was tastefully decorated with mauve streamers and the stage with flowers. There was a good attendance present. During the evening, Mr H. Lack, junr., on behalf of the friends of Mr T. Jordan, presented him with a leather suit case on the occasion of his leaving the district to take up duties in Woodend. In making the presentation Mr Lack referred to Mr Jordan's sterling qualities. Mr Jordan suitably responded. The dance music was supplied by Messrs L. Stace (piano), C. Lack (cornet) and C. Woods (violin), extras being contributed by Misses N. Keast, Edna Macartney, Gwen Mitchell and 'Mr C. Lack. Messrs T. Jordan and-H. Lack were M.C.'s. A Monte Carlo waltz was won by Miss J. Campbell and Mr W. Ellis.
