School Committees.

LEESTON.

The Leeston School Committee met on Monday evening; present— Messrs f. J. Gilbert (chairman), T. J. Ramsey (secretary), G H. Jones, J C. Free and D. Millar.

The headmaster reported the number 011 the roll to be 85 and the average attendance 74. On the motion of Messrs Jones and Ramsey, a resolution of sympathy was carried with the widow and family of the late Mr John Barnett, who served ss a member of the, committee'for many years.
