HOCKEY

A team from the Clyde Ladies Hockey Club travelled to Onuikau on Thursday last, when they had an enjoyable game with the club there. The day was a beautiful one and the outing proved a very pleasant one. The visitors, by reason of better combination, proved too good for the homo team, who should benefit greatly as a result of the experienced gained- The team contained several very promising players and it only requires a few more games to make them quite a formidable side. Mr >l„ Holt who had charge of the game, proved a good man for the position, giving the home side much information and good advice. After the game the visitors were entertained at a tasty and a very acceptable afternoon tea when the customary courtesies were exchanged. The first of the cup fixtures commence on Saturday when Clyde go to Alexandra to try conclusions with the School.

Alexandra Club, said to bo a very hot side this season travel to Cromwell on Saturday, when a good game should be witnessed.

Tho following players ' represent Clyde at Alexandra on Saturday— E- McSwan, T. Turnbull, ITKeddell, M. Annan, A. Hepburn, LAnnan, I. Roberts, M. Mills, I. Waldron, E. Keddell & J. Cameron.
