FIRE AT ALEXANDRA.

Mr Anderson was in the house at the time and had hung up a towel behind the door a few minutes previous to the outbreak occurring. He had a lighted candle in his hand at the]] time and thinks the candle must have come in contact with the towel. The house was valued at and the furniture at £“SO. There was an insurance of ;£So on the house in the Alliance Insurance. Co., but nothing on the furniture. Mr Andersen estimates his loss at £go, everything being totally destroyed.
