FIRE AT ALEXANDRA.

A four roomed wooden house, occupied by Mr N. A. Anderson, was totally destroyed by fire at Alexabout 7.30 p.m. on Friday. The Fire Brigade were promptly on the £C3ne, but as no water was available they were unable to cope with the fire. Mr Anderson was in the house at the time and had hung up a towel behind the door a few minutes previous to the outbreak occurring.
