GRAIN AND PRODUCE REPORT. Messrs Dalgety aud Co. Ltd. report as follows; We held our usual weekly auction sale of grain and produce on Monday and submitted a large catalogue to a fair attendance of buyers. Prices ruled as under Oats.—-The market has been excited during the last week, and offer particularly A grade Cartons and Sparrowbills have been readily taken for sliipment to London and Australia. We quote Prime milling l.i G4d, to l/7d Good to best feed Is 5d to Is 6d, Inferior to medium Is 3Ad to Is per bushel, sacks extra. Wheat.—ln view of the market in London, buyers are not disposed to operate and millers who are holding large stocks are content to sit back and await developments. We quote—Prime milling 4/3, to 4/4, Medium 4/1 to 4/2, Whole Fowl wheat 3/9 to 3/11, Medium 3/5 to 3/S, Inferior ‘2/9d to 3/3. Potatoes.—Arrivals are light and prices are if anything slightly firmer than last week. We quote-Extra good up to £2-15s, Besc freshlydug samples £2-10s to £2-12-6, medium '£2-2-6 to £2-ss. Chaff.—Consignments have been heavy but very little very prime Chaff has been offering. Prime Chaff meets with ready sale at 2s 6d better than last quotations. We quote Prime £2-10-0 to £2-12-6 d, Medium £2-2 6 to £2-ss, Inferior and discoloured 35s to 40s. Straw.—We quote Wheaton 30s, Oaten 32/6. Dunedin, 26th April.
