Cromwell Races.
The annual races under the auspices of the Cromwell Jockey ! Club took place on Wednesday and Thursday last, under the most favorable circumstances. The day wa's an ideal one —both from a Spectators and racing point of view, and to Cromwell racegoers'the fact that the dust fiend was an unknown quantify on this occasion-means a big tnlng, as in the past .the enjoyment of this meeting has been maned by the dust. The attendance was considerably larger' than in j past years. The course was inj capital order, and on both days the \ racing was excellent. The com-1 mittee are'.to be congratulated, for I the manner in which they carried , out theirarduous duties, a special j word of praise being due to thei energetic secretary, Mr W. | Richards. White's Visionary 8.5 ... 1 J M-Lean's Wild West 9.2 ... 2 The best race of the day. Visionary, j Wild West and Goldring came into the straight on even terms, and after a capital j race "finished in the order named. Dividend L 7 55.Handicap Time Trot of L3O. Two miles.
