Clyde School.
A. concert in aid of the prize fund of the Clyde school was held in the Town Hall, on Friday evening last A. very acceptable musical programme was gone through, and judging from the amount of applause, was much appreciated by the large audience. The most pleasing feat are of the entertainment, was, however, the j presentation of the prizes—the sight j of the happy faces of the children as they went up to receive their prizes, being \ well worth the price of admission. One of the scholars, Master Frrnk Holloway recited in fine style •' Barbara The audience wore so pleased with his efforts that he had to respond. Mr Warden Burgess, who made the presentations, in a very able speech pointed out the very great benalits derived from education, and urged ihe children to persevere with their woik.
