Mr f. Chamberlain,' an English racing cyclist with'a fair amatuer record, has arrived in Melbourne. Although. Chamberlain has entered for the Austral Wheel Race, he is an unlikely starter, as he has no time io get into form. —o In answer to numerous enquiries, the Dunlop Tyre To. state that their artistic Austral souvenir, which will be obtainable, gratis from any of the Company's depots, will this year contain photos of R. Walne (Q.), J.Grcen(Eng.), F. Beauchamp (fas.), S. Gordon (Vic.) and J. Lawson (America). Copies will be obtainable early in december. _o — It is more tean likely that a new Australian hour record will be established shortly, and it is the intention of the Dunlop Tyre Co. to see if some of our cracks are not capable of adding a'considerable distance to the present record, which stands to the credit of T. Relph at twenty nine miles four hundred and fifty yards, frank Beauchamp with good pacing could, we think, cover over thirty three miles in the hour on the St. Kilda track. —o I'he international Fifty Miles paced race decided at the Pare des Princes track on October 14th, saw riders of-Dunlop iy res well to the fore the first three men having their wheels shod with the '• First and foremost" tyre. Chase was first in one hour twenty one minutes thirty five and one-fifth seconds Walters second, and Huret. third, " Ernie Wall has-returned, to his first love and is again riding Dunlops. There is a general impressoil that he is riding ~ much faster.- "•'.. ggs* £ The latest Dunlop racing tyre is catching on immensely and the Co. have had to cable for a further large supply. There won't be a racing man to be classed as such that is not riding this speedy tyre when the supply comes to hand. o The New Zealand Wheel Race which is to be held on the 15th and 18th inst. should prove a good thing for Dunlop riders, as this event, which carries the heaviest prize money of any in the Colony, has always been accounted for by the good old Dunlop.
