BLACKS SCHOOL COMMITTEE.
TO THE EDITOR. Sm,—ln reply to ‘Fair Play's* query,, why the householder's meeting for a school committee election was declared irregular, all I hare to say Is simply that numbers voted with no qualification. This was pointed out to mo after the meeting upon which I refused to sign as to its regularity. In short, the school committee was elected before the householders had assembled, But as 1 have neither time nor inclination to enter Into a newspaper controversy with Fair Play, I shall only remark ttwj had Fair Play played fair he would not have found himself euchred. With regard to ‘ Vindex’s' slurs at the Education Board I doubt i! it is composed of men likely to ba much influenced by them, or that they likely to show fear or favor to either parly. Had he considered the matter before he wrote he should have known that they took the only course left, having no option in the matter, as the law distinctly provides that the chairman ol the meeting of householders shall certify as to its reguanty before confirming the election, which I positively refused to do. This explanation must end the matterso far as lam concerned.-I am, Ida Valley, June Bth 1896.
