Sydney, June 19. The auxiliary squadron will visit New Zealand ports as soon as possible after their arrival in Australian waters. The labor party have received a cablegram from Sir George Grey congratulating them on the success of their candidates at the elections. The Sydney Morning Herald eulogises the Union Steam Ship Company’s Benefit Society. It fails to sec how such an association can interfere with the interest of friendly societies, but it is easy to see how the scheme will prove detrimental to trade unions. The lercild hints that the unionists can hardly wonder if a course similai to that adopted by the Union Company is generally followed by large employers of labor. Perth, June 19. A loan of L 1,333 000 will be placed on the Loudon market in July. Adelaide, June 19. The Federal Convention cost this colony LllOO.
