ALEXANDRA TOWN COUNCIL.

An ordinary meeting of the Town Council was held on Wednesday evening last the, 20th instant. Present—The SI ay or. and Councillors Mackersey, Theyers and Cameron. The minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed. The tenders for the building of the Town Hall were opened and road. Messrs Rpeid and Dalton’s, Teviot, being the lowest, was accepted, namely, L4S9 Ids fed. The Town Clerk was directed to inform them their tender was accepted, and to enquire of them when they would bo ready to commence. Councillor Mackersey moved that' two valuators bo appointed, with a fee of two guineas each, and that a notice be posted inviting applifcants for the office, seconded by Councillor Cameron, and carried. The Town Clerk was instructed to write for the Government Gazette to be sent. Accounts to the amount of L 7 7s. were passed for payment. Tbo usual vote to the Chair terminated the proceedings.
