DAIRYING INDUSTRY.
[PKR PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Palmerston North, Last night. At a meeting of the combined conference of the National Dairy Association and Cheese and Butter Makers' Association held this morning, Mr Kinsella, Dairy Commissioner, made favorable reference to the butter and cheese exhibits at the exhibition, especially in keeping uptnequalitiesofbutterand cheese. It was described as a very creditable exhibition. Papers on " Pasteurisation/ " Cheddar Cheese," nnd " Cleanliness in Factories/ were nad by members of the dairy statF, and on " The Übor aspect as relatii g to the dairying industry in New .Zealand," by Mr W. Wright, of Normaoby. , _ . , At the New Ztaland Farmers' Conference this afternoon, rules were passed. A warm discussion followed with reference to the attitude tho Union should take up at elections. It was finally decided to take no action in the matter at present, and to meet delegates Irom the Producera' Union to-morrow (Fridaj) evening to discuss proposals of amalgamation. At the combined conference of the National Dairy Association and the Butter and Cheese Makers' Association this afternoon, papers were read by the Dairy Commissioner ou pasteurisation, ensilage, and s.los, and by Mr D. D. Hyde, poultry expert.
