The Gaiety Company.
At the Gaiety Theatre last night a varied and attractive entertainment was presented to a fairly large audieuce by the Gaiety Musical and Dramatic Company, a recently formed organisation of considerable versatility and talent. The programme opened with the sparkling one-act comedy " Confusion " in which the Misses Lucas and Brandt, Mr W. Danvers and Mr A. E. Renouf appeared to advantage and created much amusement. The second part was of the variety order, Miss Brandt and Miss Heywood contributing comic songs, Miss Madge Lucas doing some marvellous high kicking, and Mr Joe Watts showing the perfection to which step-dancing may be brought. A laughable farce concluded a very enjoyable evening. Mr C. Wilson conducted an efficient orchestra. An entire change of programme is announced for this evening.
