Hooper's Colossophone.
Hooper's Colossophone and Vaudeville Co. commenced their Napier season in the Theatre Royal last evening before a crowded downstairs house, and good upstairs one. The programme submitted was the best of its kind that has been given here for sometime, the variety selections being novel, and every item ot the concert programme was fresh, mat the audience were thoroughly pleased was plainly evidenced by the hearty applause that followed each item, and the vocalists were encored every time. Master R. Horace, the boy soprano, scored a distinct success, as also did " Baby" Brady, a dot of a few summers, in her comic song " I'm a little too young to know," and her stepdances. Ihe Roselle Bros, are exceedingly clever gymnasts, and Rudarz, the "modern magic" coujurer, is a performer of considerable merit, his clever tricks eliciting hearty applause. Vocal contributions by Miss Brady and Mis? Spencer, and some splendid colossophone items, concluded a really excellent programme. The company appear here till Saturday, and those who enjoy a light, and a t the same time refined, entertainment, should not fail to see the show.
