The conference of delegates from the Munioipal Association, fixed for the 19th, is adjourned to a date to be fixed when the Local Government Bill is introduced. Ihe weather is still cold, and heavy showers ore falling. Ihe County Councils Conference, which it was p.oposed to postpone until the 23rd inst , began to-day. This morning's business was formal. The conference meet again in tho afternoon. The trial of :iom_erville for murder still occupies t-o Supreme Court, and ia not likely to finish for some hours. The evidence called to-day was much to the same effect aa yet— tday aa to the peculiarity of accused. Gisboene, This day. In the Supreme Oourt Tuta. Orere got two years for assault on Aeuera Te Aungira, and one month for larceny. The oase of house-breaking against Pare Arnhe is now on and is likely ta last all day. Dunedin, This day. John Milvan, for stealing from a dwelling goods to the value of £6 14s 3d, was committed for trial.
