The Bathing By-law.
The following is the new bathing by-law, No. 417, whioh comes into force on the 15th instant:—
"That sub-sections 1, 2, and 3 of Bylaw No. 411 be repealed. Provided, nevertheless, that every person bathing in the sea, or in any river, or other •waters within, or within one mile, of the boundaries of the borough of Napier, shall he attired in a decent and proper bathing drees, extending from the shoulders to the knees; no white or flesh color, or net garments, allowed to be worn. Provided also that every person about to bathe or who has bathed, as aforesaid, shall undress and dress in a bathing machine, tent, or building, so constructed as to effectually conceal such person from view during the process of undressing and dressing. No person to be allowed to cross any public road, private street, or right-of- ' way, either in going to bathe or in returning from bathing, except in ordinary walking dress: Any person committing any breaoh of this.by-law, or any part thereof, shall be liable to a penalty not exceeding £5 for every such breach."
