Railway Insurance Bill.
* An Opposition Deputation. [PES PBKSB ABSOOXA.TIOW.J Wellington, This day. A deputation representing the Amalgamated Society of Kailway ■ Servants waited on the Premier to-day with reference to the late conference on the Railway Insurance Bill. Mr Hoban, president of the Christchnroh branch, who wae chief spokesman, said the delegates to that conference did not represent the views of the general body of railway employee, and stated that the attendances at ull public meetings held throughout the colodj to choose delegates would not total one hundred. Hβ asked that a copy of the Bailway Commissioners' amended Insurance Bill and a voting paper be sent to every railway servant in the colony, bo that they would be able to express their opinion on it. The Premier said personally he thought the request a reasonable one, and would lay it before the Kailway Oommiaeioners and his colleagues. The deputation consisted of the presidents of several of the local branohes of the Amalgamated Society of Kailway Servants, and a number of members of the House of I Representatives and members of the Legislative Council.
