■ * [fBOH OUR 3PSCUL COEEBBEONDKHT ] ]_BTC THXEGBAPH.] Wellington, This day. The Shop and Shop Assistants Bill was finally pasaed by the Labor Bills Committee this forenoon. A proviso was agreed to that in case any conference of local bodies faidog to appoint a day for tho weekly halfholiday, then the Governor- in- Uounoil shall do so. A start was then made with the Industrial Conciliation Bill. The evidence of Mr Blackwell, manager of the Kaiapoi woolllon factory was taken. He objects to ootnpuleory arbitration, but agrees th%t once the parties to a dispute determine en arbitration, the findsng of the Court must bo accepted.
