Huia, Dick, and Pairoa also started. On the machine 219, on the winner 58, dividend£3 6s. Time, 6rain42 2-sthseo. maiden tbot (in harness), Of 20 soys ; 2 miles. Mr Dennett's Jean (Dennett) ~ ~ 1 Mr Harvey's tommy (Hoyle) .. ..2 Mr D. McLean's Ngatarawa (Neale) .. 3 Only the three started. A splendid race. Won by half a head. The winner led all the way, but was very closely pressed all the time by Tommy. On the machine 292, on the winner 135, dividend £1 18s.
