! Dunedin, This day. Wheat.—The tone of the market this week can hardly be said to be quite so satisfactory. While there are buyers for really good conditioned milling sorts, there is no demand for second-rate quality, and unfortunately most of the samples now offering come under the latter description. There is a good demand for whole fowl wheat, but produoe dealers decline to give the prices asked by vendors, preferring to satisfy their requirements by other substitutes. Considering the limited quantity of prime wheat now available, it is almost evident that before many weeks prices are more likely to further advance than recede. Meantime we quote best milling velvet and tußcau 4s 7d to 4s Bd, medium to good 4s 3d to 4s 6d, inferior to medium 3s 9d to 4s, broken 2s 9d to 3s 6d (ex store; sacks weighed in; terms).

Oats. —A. very fair demand has been experienced for well filled bright short oats in shipping condition, also for sorts suitable for milling locally, at up to last week's quotation, although during the last day or two there have been slight indications of a lull in the proceedings; but it is quite possible this may only be temporary. The deliveries are daily becoming lees, and the fact th-»t most of the best oats in the stores are already disposed of, any now to come forward will doubtless be held for late rates at least, which are likely to be maintained. We quote prime milling Is 6|d to Is 7d, bright stout feed Is tid to Is 6§d, medium to good Is s£d to Is 6d, inferior to medium Is Id to Is 4d, Danish and blaok (which all along have only had very small demand) Is 4d to Is 5d (ex stores; sacks extra; net cash). Harley.—The market continues very dull. There is no disposition on the part of buyers to operate at anything approaching iate quotations Even the primest samples in the market are difficult to place, except at a considerable reduction on late ruling rates. Off-color and second-rate quality at the moment is unsaleable for malting purposes, and can only be placed for feed when prices are offered which growers would hardly care to accept. We quote prime quality 2s 9d to 3s, medium 2s 4d to 2s 7d, inferior 2s to 3s 3d (ex stores; sacks extra; terms). Chbistchuech, This day.

Wholesale produce prices : —Wheat, tuscan prime milling 4s Id to 4s 2d (f.0.b.), pearl prime milling 4s, Hunters' prime milling 3s lOd to 3s lid, chicken (whole) 3s; oats, milling prime 3 s 9d, bright short feed Is Bd, inferior long Is 6d.
