ARGENTINE REPUBLIC. The Argentine Government is repealing the tax on bank deposits, and in return demands from the banks a luan of 20,000,000 dollars. The banks refused, and a forced issue is feared. The money market in Buenos Ay res is excited, and it is feared the funds of tho Provincial Bank will bo absorbed. LA.BOR QUESTION. Mr Parnell if in favor of shortening the hours of labor and tho establishment of j Boards of Conciliation.
Lord Salisbury favors thn appointment of Messrs T. Mann and J. Burn.s to sea's on the Labor Commission, but his colleagues differ with him.
