Town Market.
[to tub kditoe.]
Sib, —Tho need of a public market in Napier for the ealo of fruit, vegetables, &c, has been often advocated, but nothing haa been done in the matter. "Would you allow me to say that the reason for this Bupiuenesa is due to the fact that the people are looking from one to the other to see who is going to provide a public want aa a private speculation. Now I contend that as the Corporaturn has utilised the Market Reserve as a source of revenuo, it is tho duty of that body to provido a site for a market, together with tho necessary roofing, the rents from the shops and stalls beneath going to pay intercut on tho outlay. If there oould ' t) p established a miniature Covent harden in Napier what, a blessing ii; would be to fruitgrowers in the oountry.—l am, &c, K. G. Gbaham.
