The prizes cere distributed yesterday at 2.30 p.m. by Mr Beilby, secretary. Mr Beilby stated his regret that neithor the Chairman nor Captain Russell were present for tho ceremony, and handed the winners their prizes with a few suitable words to each. He called for three cheers for Mr Smith, head-master, which were given in good time. The youngsters then of their own accord gave three cheers for Miss Percy. The school re-opens on January 25th, 1801. The following is the prizelist:— -
