TOWN EDITION.

Tho last concert of tho season will be given by tho Musical Society this ovening in the Theatre Royal. The programme includes two cantatas, while the overture "Martha " will be entrusted to the capable hands of one of tho best amateur orchestras in tho colony. The soloists are Mrs Sheath, Miss Mayson, and Mr Willcocks. Mr Sheath is "the conductor, and Mr Dickin is the leader of the orchestra.

The Ohau leaves Dunedin for this port on Monday next. Sho comes via Oamaru, Timaru, and Lyttelton, and will be duo here about Saturday, the 19th inst.

Our readers are reminded of the Bazuar which is to bo held in the Town Hall, Hastings, to-morrow aud Saturday, .in aid of the building fund of the Church of England. Preparations for this event have been going on for some time, and a largo number of articles, useful and ornamental, have been presented by many friends. Amongst other things which will be offered for sale aro somo of the latest novelties in fancy goods, which have been specially selected and sent out by somo members of tho congregation in England. The bazaar will bo formally opened by His Worship the Mayor at 2 p.m. to-morrow; tho charge for admission will bo sixpence, and wo hope a large attendance and satisfactory sales willroward those ladies who havo worked so hard to make tho affair a success.

We remind our readers of tho coffea supper in tho Methodist School-room this evening. The entertainment commences at a quarter to eight o'clock.
