In the House of Commons a motion censuring the Irish Judges for increasing , the term of sentence on defendants sentence! for inciting resistance was rejected by a majority of 54. The appeal of Mr Jasper Pigae, M.P. for Waterford, who was sentenced to a week's imprisonment for inciting resistance to the sheriff, was successful, and the conviction has been quashed. Mr Wilfred Blunt, who was defeated for the Deptford seat, will contest the Dublin election.
