To bo experimented upon by ono doctor is : bad enough ; but to be tho "subject" of: many learned men who differ on tho nature of your complaint, and can only be brought to agree in the matter of fees, is as many times worse as there may be medical authorities to consult over you. We have not either the time or tho inclination to go through our files to refresh our memory concerning tho variety of diseases which the unfortunate Emperor of Germany is said to havo had sinco ho was first attacked with, a sore throat. If tho poor man has been treated for each of those diseases ranging from cancer to inflammation of the lungs, from trachea to bronchitis, it is a wonder he has not been killed lonp ago. Blood poisoning is now reported to havo set in, and wo are not surprised at it. The worst is considered imminent. If His Majesty is not dead by to-morrow, wo may expect to learn that it was not blood poisoning at all, but a. slight rash brought on by a restless night. What a dreadful thing it is to be an Emperor!
