Mr Hughes, preaching in one of tho city churches, denounced Colonel Hughes-Hallett, aud exuressed surprise that he has not been expelled from tho Houso of Commons and from the army. The clubs should also refuse him admittance. The reverend gentleman expressed tho opinion that gross immorality of the nature of which Colonel HughesHallett had been guiity should disqualify any member found guilty of the charge, from taking his seat in the House of Commons.
In the Houso of Lords Lord George. Hamilton, replying to Lord Charles Beresford, declined to produce the report of the Naval Lords on the Intelligence Department of the Admiralty. Her Majesty the Queen, accompanied by Princess Beatrice, has left on a visit to the Isle of Wight. Eight wolves which had been delivered at Sanger's Menagerie yesterday broke looso and devoured one of tho horses. After a great deal of difficulty they were recaptured. The tribes on the Indian frontier are reported tohavo captured several of the British forts there.
Tho steamer Cashmere -Tartar has accomplished the voyage from Cape Town to Plymouth in IS days. " ' ' , The Parnellitc. intend to bring forward in the Houso of Commons tho arrest of Mr J. D. Pyne and Mr J. Gilhooly, M.P.'a, as a question of privilege. Both Messrs Sullivan and Harrington, M.P.'s, mot with an enthusiastic reception ou their arrival iv London from Dublin. Au immense procession marched to Hyde Park, when- addresses of sympathy with their cause and admiration at* their conduct were presented to them.
Calcutta, February 12. Captain Walter has loft here for Australia for tho purpose of seeking work for soldiers whose term of service has expired.
