MORE ENERGY.

[to the editor.]

Sir, —What a pity the committee for the Boojum and Sir Donald subscriptions do not display a little moro energy in collecting subscriptions. . The public generally understood that tho gentlemen who took the matter in hand would start a house to house canvass, andl am sure a substantial sum is waiting to be gathered, as I almost daily hear people (who do not care to forward their five shilling and half-crown pieces to a newspaper office) ask ".When are the canvassers coming?" I hope the widows and orphans will not suffer for this Avant of energy on the part of the committee. It is a good old maxim, to strike while the iron is hot.—l am, &c, Energy. , Spit, 9th June, 1887.
