EDUCATIONAL TROUBLES.

Blenheim, This day. Tho Marlborough Inspector reports that of the Picton school, 62 per cent, failed to pass tho standard, attributed to tho fact that two out of threo teachers are uncertifioated, although for years they have received salaries over the limit prescribed by tho department for uncertificated teachers. The Board has called on tho hoad master to resign, who, though ho was certificated, had all his sixth standard fail in examination. The Picton school has had indifferent reports for some years, and a meeting of householders last week passed a resolution calling for a radical change in the teaching staff. Tho Board was not disposed to agree to this. . A good deal of private, and even political, feeling has been excited. (For continuation of news see fourth page.)
