HON. MR ROLLESTON INQUIRING INTO IMMIGRANTS CHARGES

Wellington, This day. Tho Hon. Mr Rolleston, Minister for Immigration, paid a visit to tho steamer lonic yesterday to enquire respecting the charges mado against the Plymouth depot by several of the single women emigrants. Mr Rolleston found the single Avomen, and also a number of married women coining out to join their husbands, still adhered to their statements regarding the bad treatment at the Plymouth depot. No complaints whatever A\'cre made by the married couples or by the single men. The doctor of the steamer is of opinion that if there wero any incom-emencc at the depot it Avas principally caused by the bad weather

experienced while the emigrants Avere in the barracks. None of the charges made by. the single women arc of a serious character.
