During the month of September, 1883, 1200 persons arrived in New Zealand, and 517 loft the colony. Of tho individual ports Auckland had the largest number of arrivals, 808, and the second largest number of departures, 131, Invercargill standing first in this latter respect, with 200, and second in regard to arrivals, 239.
