Paljierston North, This day. Tho wife of Mr Alfred Levy, J.P., Avell known in Napior, died yesterday of consumption.
Auckland, This day
At an inquest on the body of Thomas Lloyd, who died at the hospital on Thursday last from injuries received Avhilo jacking logs in the Kaipara bush, the jury returned a verdict of accidental death. The inquest Avas not held until Saturday, owingto neglect to report the death to the police or coroner. At the inquest Dr. Hooper said he did not consider it his duty as an honorary surgeon of the hospital to make the report, as there was a house surgeon on the spot.
Dunedin, This day. James Dick, a boatman in the employ of tlie Harbor Board, Avhilc proceeding to the Heads on Saturday ou horseback, Avas throAvn from his horse and killed.
