At the R.M. Court on Saturday Nathaniel Flo Avers, for severely biting a man's ear in a scuffle in a bowling saloon, avus fhied £3
and costs. R. T. Shields, sheep-farmer, A\-as fined £10 and costs, being the minimum penalty under the Act, for neglecting to give notice to the Inspector respecting a shoep which the defendant had reason to believe was infected.
