Maungaharuru District —Fern hills and spurs on tho western slopes of the Maungaharuru Range; the soil is light; about onehalf of Section 2 is undulating country covcrcn with natural grasses; Section 4 has frontage to Taupo road ; a few clumps of bush arc scattered about on Section 1. Waitara District — Open fern country, hilly. A bridle road on the permanent grades has been formed a distance of twelve miles through the block, starting from the Taupo roa.l about thirty-five miles from Napier.
