FIRES AT INVERCARGILL AND TIMARU.

Ixvercariull, This day. The cowshed and stables on the farm of Mr E. Andrews, ncir Wiuton, were burnt down this morning. The house, harness, and a quantity of grain were destroyed. The estimated total loss is over £'200. There was no insurance. Ti.UARU, This day. A four-roomed cottage in Russell-square was burnt down yesterday. It was owned by Mr Brown, and was insured. The tire took place during the absence of the father and mother, only the children being in the house. Tlie insurance on tlie building is £100 in the Victoria office.
