The Union Steamship Company's s.s. Taiaroa left Wellington at 3.30 p.m. yesterday, having- some 30 tons of cargo on board for this port, and would probably arrive in the roadstead at about 2 o'clock this afternoon. We learn from a private telegram that the launch Boojiun, -which Avas to have left on her return journey at 6 o'clock this moming, is lying bar-bound at Wairoa,_ there being a 'heavy southern swell breaking on the bar. The steamer Kiwi was to leave Wellington at 5 o'clock this evening for Napier via coastal stations, and would probably arrive here on Friday morning , . The fit earner Sir Donald. Capt.Quinlan, was loading up to-day with fencing posts and -wire for Fairy Bay. and is expected to get away at about S o'clock this evening. The steamer Go-Ahead, Capt. Doilo, was tclegrajihed as going to leave Wellington at 6V clock last night, in which case sho should arrive here during the night. She will be sailing again for Dunedin at G o'clock to-morrow afternoon. The Union Company's s.s. Southern Cross, Capt. Allmau, was to leave Gisborne this evening, and will arrive in the roadstead early"to-morrow morning. She is to be brought imsidc to discharge her cargo, and at S o'clock on Friday morning is announced to .stenni for Wellington. The outward passengers for the s.s. Rotomahana, duo here on Saturday morning from Northern ports, will not be taken off m> til 2 o'clock in the afternoon, the alteration in"the hour being made for the greater convenience of people attending the races.
