The pantomime of "Jack the Giant Killer, or the Knights of the Round Table," will be reproduced at the Theatre Royal tonight by the Juvenile Opera Company. Drilled men (new members) of tho Artillery and Rifle Volunteers parade at the Protestant Hall at 7.30 this evening so as to be inspected and posted to their respective corps as efficient members. Mr Monteith Avill sell 1000 fat sheep by auction at the Shamrock sale yards at 1 p.m. to-morroAV. Captain Blythe directs the attention of the Napier Rifle Volunteers to the district orders issued by Major Routledge. Messrs M. R. Miller and Potts sell by auction, at the sale yards at Haatings, at
1.30 p.m. to-morrow, a number of pure Lincoln and Romney Marsh rams. Mr Monthcth's regular weekly sale of stock, vehicles, fowls, produce, Sec, will be held at the Horse Bazaar as usual on Saturday. On Monday, 26th instant, Harvey Sladen, a bankrupt, will make application to the Supreme Court for an order of discharge. Six candidates having been nominated for the vacant seats on the Harbor Board, tho returning officer, Mr G. AY. Cullen, gives notice that the election will take place on Monday next, in a building in Shakespeare road, opposite the Lands Office. A general meeting of the creditors of Angus McKay, a bankrupt, is summoned to ._ held at the Court House. _Tnpier, on Friday, 10th instant, when tho bankrupt will make application for a certificate that he has complied with the provisions of the Bankruptcy Acts. Messrs Blythe and Go. arc clearing men's tweed pa get coats at a-guinea each, or 20s for cash. Mr Ziegol, tho local manager of tho New Zealand Clothing- Factory, informs the public that, owing to his early departure South, lie is prepared to take orders for measure made suits, Avhich will be executed under Ins personal .supervision. Creosotine, a now and improved disinfectant, is prepared solely by Mr Woods, dispensing and family chemist. A number of now advertisements will be found in our '" AYantod " column.
