COMMERCIAL.
Messrs M. R. Miller and Potts report having held a sale of wool, skins, and stock at Waipawa yesterday, when the following lots were offered:—2s bales wool, 300 tikins, 64 head cattle, and 22 horses. Although the bidding was slow most of the lots were sold except horses, only a, few of which reached owners' reserve. Tho following prices were obtained:—Wool, crossbred, 7d to S.jd; pieces, sid. Skins, 3id to od per lb. Cattle, 2-year-old steers, £4 to £4 10s ; yearlings to 18 months, £2 10s to £3 5s : heifers, £2 to £3 5s ; cows, £4 10s to £0 Gs and £S ; horses, £4 10s to £11 for hacks; light draughts, £15 to £20.

Adelaide wheat, ox-warehouse, remains at 50s Gd, and New Zealand ditto at 44s Gd; Adelaide flour, ex-warehouse, has fallen to 345. Tho market rate of discount has fallen to 3y ; bunk rate, 4 per cent. Melbourne, Tuesday. The local manager of the National Mortgage and Agency Company of New Zealand (limited) reports of the Melbourne grain market as follows : —Shipping wheat, per bushel, 5s to 5s Id, and prices barely maintained; malting barley is active at 5s od to 5s Gd ; New Zealand oats quiet at 3s 3d to 3s 10d for feeding qualities.
