WAIPAWA.

The annual meeting of the householders in the WaipaAva school district, for the purpose of electing a Committee to serve for the ensuing year, was held in the school-room, WaipaAva, yesterday evening. Mr Harwood Avas voted to the chair. The secretary read a balance-sheet and report, from Avhich it appeared that the receipts for the year amounted to £92, and the expenditure to £58, leaving a balance in hand of £34. The aA'crage attendance Avas 123, with a total on the school books of 164. The following persons were then proposed as members of the new Committee: —Messrs Bibby, Goldsmith, Annand, Harwood, Eccles, Robb, and Guy. As no other persons were proposed tho foregoing seven Avere declared duly elected. Votes of thanks to the retiring Committee, the secretary, Mr B. B. Johnson, and to the chairman, concluded the ingAt the meeting of the new Committee Mr Bibby was appointed chairman and Mr Goldsmith secretary.
