G67 _ IS3 138 —Majority for Lamach, 485. There was great excitement felt over the result of the Peninsula election, and several hundred persons Avere present at the delaration of the poll. Messrs Lamach and Donnelly delivered addresses, but Bishop Moran was not present. Mr Lamach Avas afterwards driven up to Dunedin in a four-in-hand amid a croAvdof enthusiastic and cheering supporters.
