Simpson v. Rotter.—Claim 19s Gd. Judgment by default for amount, with cost 10s. De Lisle v. Barlaw.—Claim £3 8s Unprofessional attendance. Judgment by default for amount, with costs £1 7s, and counsel's fee £1 Is. Mr Lascelles represented the plaintiff. Knight Bros. v. Evans, judgment debt. Defendant was ordered to pay £o per month until amount is paid up, or in default one month's imprisonment. E. Dixonv. J. Branley.-Claim £3 11s for damages to horse and buggy hired by defendant from the plaintiff. Mr Laseelles appeared for the plaintiff, and Mr Cornford for the defendant. This case occupied the time of the Court to the adjournment, and the R.M. gave judgment at 2 o'clock. In giving judgment His Worship said there was some doubt concerning the alleged negligence, and the defendant was entitled to the benefit of it. It was a question whether the harness got loose at Taradale or after defendant left there. If the latter was the case the plaintiff contributed to the damage by not having supplied lights for the buggy. Judgment would therefore be for the defeudant, with costs £2 Is.
